Brunello di Montalcino
Overview
Brunello has come of age after years of being considered the heart and soul of the best Tuscan wines. Unusually for Tuscany the wines are 100% Sangiovese but here it is a particular clone of Sangiovese Grosso called Brunello, which is used, and whose name, affixed to the name of town Montalcino, gives its name to the region.
