White Wine

White wine is a type of wine made mainly from so called 'white' grapes, which are green or yellow in colour.  White wines are light in colour because the skins are removed from the must within a few hours of pressing.

Grape varieties

Typical grape varieties used to make the fine dry white wine we offer include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Godello, Albarino, Semillon and Chenin Blanc, among others.

Note that some dry white wine grape varieties such as Riesling, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and used to produce sweet wines and these are shown separately.   

White wine styles
