The producer
Nyetimber was established in 1988 by a couple, Stuart and Sandy Moss, who were inspired by the potential for producing sparkling wine in the cool climate of southern England. The winery is named after a farmstead that dates back to the 11th century, which is located near the vineyards.
Nyetimber is known for producing some of the finest English sparkling wines, which are made using traditional Champagne methods. The winery has over 170 hectares of vineyards, which are planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes. The vineyards are situated on south-facing slopes, which allows the grapes to ripen fully in the cool English climate.
Nyetimber has been instrumental in putting English sparkling wine on the map.
The wine
Blanc de Blancs is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, and it showcases bright acidity, citrus notes, and a crisp, refreshing profile.
