Yarra Valley
Overview
Yarra Valley is just east of Melbourne, in Victoria and has the lowest mean summer temperatures of the Victorian regions at just under 19 degrees C, and as such this is one of the coolest Australian wine regions, mostly due to the hilly topography. The cool climate and hilly topography means that Yarra is a region dominated by early ripening grape varieties.
