Siro Pacenti

Siro Pacenti was founded in 1970, when Siro Pacenti purchased a property north of Montalcino and planted vineyards. In 1988 son Giancarlo takes over the family’s estate and start bottling the wines. In 2004 production is moved to the newly built cellar in southern Montalcino. Fruit is sourced from two family-owned vineyards, one is in Pelagrilli to the north of Montalcino and the other in Piancornello to the south.

Siro Pacenti represents a modern approach to making Brunello di Montalcino, with both the Brunello Vecchie Vigne and the Brunello Riserva PS spending 24 months in French oak barrels. Brunello Riserva PS is made from 40 year old vines in the original 1.5 ha vineyard planted by Siro, in Pelagrilli, in the 1970s.
