Rangen Grand Cru
The 22.13 hectares Rangen vineyard is the most southerly of Alsace’s Grand Crus and is situated overlooking the village of Thann. The soil is volcanic rock and sedimentary sandstone and the 90% incline hillside vineyard is fully south facing. Pinot Gris is the most planted grape variety here, but Riesling, Gewurztraminer and a tiny bit of Muscat is also found.
