Mount Langi Ghiran

Mount Langi Ghiran is arguably the best producer in Grampians. The estate owns 70 hectares of vineyards, all located 350 meters above sea level between the mountains Mount Langi Ghiran and Mount Cole. Langi Ghiran mainly focuses on red grapes, with Shiraz the dominant variety, and specialise in unique cool climate wines, which due to the long slow growing season result in an impressive range of fruit flavours and pristine aromatics, of which pepper and spice are characteristic.

Langi Ghiran’s wines are, due to the distinctly cool climate of the vineyards, some of the latest Shiraz grapes to be picked in Australia. The soil consists of variations of granite sands over red clay loam. The ‘Old Block’ - planted in 1969 with a unique 140-year-old Shiraz clone – and which is the source of the flagship wine “Langi”, is the estate’s pride and joy.
