Overview
The Grampians wine region is located in Western Victoria, and is known for the dense, purple floral and peppery styles of Shiraz – which are considered some of the finest in Australia. The Mediterranean climate along with proximity to the Southern Ocean, which provides a cooling influence during the summer, and altitudes ranging from 150 to 1150 meters above sea level means that Grampians is recognised as a cooler climate grape growing region.
