Gosset

Founded in 1584, Gosset is the oldest house in Champagne, and is also one of the “smallest” of the most well-known houses, with an annual production of around 1 million bottles. Situated in the Grand Cru village of Ay, in the heart of the Champagne region, Gosset is owned by the Cointreau family and has been family owned and run since the beginning.

Gosset is famous for the very hands-on style of champagnes produced, with malolactic fermentation always carefully avoided to preserve freshness in the wines, and long lees ageing sought to give integration, complexity, and a mellow texture to the wines. The Gosset house produces a range of wines including the non-vintage blend ‘Grand Rose’ which we currently list – a rose champagne of great fruit richness yet balanced by firm freshness. The House’s top wines include the Vintage, Grand Millesime and the prestige cuvee, Celebris.
